The French version is the reference version. 1. Operator and purpose

Uniteo is operated by the SafeSpace Media association, Rue de la Gare 14, 2830 Courrendlin, Switzerland, UID CHE-230.366.234, contact info@uniteo.org. These terms govern the official services that refer to them: browsing, accounts, the interactions offered, Barnabé's assistance and authorised publications.

Paid services, availability commitments, billing arrangements and processing carried out on behalf of a church must be specified in their particular documents. Expressly agreed provisions prevail for their subject matter, subject to mandatory law. These terms do not, by themselves, constitute a subscription order.

2. Individual freedom and the role of churches

Uniteo makes it easier to discover communities, gatherings and Christian content. The platform supports human endeavours; it does not replace relationships, pastoral support or communities' own responsibilities.

Creating an account, following a church and listening to content do not constitute membership of a community, a denomination or SafeSpace Media. These actions do not create an obligation to take part in an activity.

Churches retain their identity and organisation. Their teams decide on their publications and may not speak on behalf of SafeSpace Media or other communities merely because they are present on Uniteo.

3. Features and changes to services

Available features vary according to the space, access rights, version, country and services actually subscribed to. Presenting a feature in preparation does not commit to its availability on a particular date without an express commitment.

Uniteo may develop the service to correct a defect, improve operation, ensure security or comply with the law. The particular commitments of a paid offer remain applicable. A general clause allowing development does not permit the unrestricted removal of an essential service contractually promised.

4. Acceptance and information

The terms are made available before an account is created, a feature requiring agreement is activated or a contract is concluded. Where agreement is required, the mechanism must be identifiable and allow the applicable version to be consulted and retained.

Simply viewing a page does not constitute general consent to data processing, commercial communications or use of your content. The privacy policy provides information about data; the specific consents needed are obtained separately.

These texts are provided in French, German, Italian and English. Anyone needing an explanation to understand a commitment may contact support before accepting it. Translations must remain consistent; a discrepancy cannot reduce a mandatory right.

5. Age, capacity and representation

Browsing public pages is not restricted to adults. Where personal accounts are open to minors, their access must be organised in accordance with the applicable rules on capacity, information and consent. Permission from the legal representative is necessary where required by law; it does not replace the strictly personal rights of a young person capable of judgement.

Barnabé is restricted to people aged at least 18, including when offered without an account. A date of birth indicating an age below 18 results in refusal of access with a brief explanation. If the necessary information is missing or invalid, the feature remains unavailable until clarification. Parental agreement does not allow this operating rule to be waived.

Age information provided must be accurate. A self-declaration check is not described as documentary verification. Checking and correction measures must remain proportionate and comply with the privacy policy. Using another person's access to circumvent the restriction is prohibited.

Legal administration of a church space and subscription to an offer are restricted to authorised adults. Uniteo may request proportionate information to verify their authority. A technical role in the interface does not create legal authority to represent an organisation.

6. Account and accuracy of information

You must provide information that is accurate and sufficiently up to date for the features used and have the right to use the email address supplied. Requested checks must be completed. A display name may be used where the feature allows it, without impersonation or confusion.

A church's contact details, locations and times must be entered carefully. You may not claim or administer its space without authorisation. Manifestly misleading information may be hidden or corrected following an appropriate examination.

7. Access security

Take reasonable precautions: an appropriate password, protection of the device, no sharing of credentials and signing out of a shared device. Teams must use individual access where offered and remove authorisations that are no longer needed.

Report suspected compromise to info@uniteo.org. Uniteo may suspend a session or feature if necessary to protect the account or service. You are not automatically responsible for every action performed with your credentials: the facts, expected precautions and applicable law determine responsibility. Uniteo remains bound by the security measures incumbent on it.

8. Rules of use

Use the features offered with respect for people, organisations and content right holders. The following are prohibited in particular:

  • offences, threats, harassment and unlawful infringements of personality rights;
  • identity theft or falsely representing a church;
  • publication of third parties' private data without the right to do so;
  • infringements of copyright, related rights, image rights or voice rights;
  • exploitation, endangerment or sexualisation of minors;
  • fraud and unauthorised commercial solicitation;
  • malware, unauthorised access and attempts to obtain private data;
  • circumvention of quotas, safeguards and access restrictions;
  • compilation, without the right to do so, of files on people's faith, private lives or vulnerability.

The diversity of Christian traditions and disagreements expressed respectfully are not, in themselves, breaches. Assessment takes account of the actual conduct, content and circumstances.

9. Churches and professional access rights

Each church designates the people authorised to administer its space and prepare and publish its content. Access must correspond to actual responsibilities; changes in authorisation must be taken into account.

Publishing rights do not give unrestricted access to users' personal data. Notes and conversations remain subject to their own rules. Following a church does not authorise it to obtain the account holder's contact details automatically or subscribe them to a newsletter.

Verification of a request to be linked to a church concerns authorisation to use the space. It does not certify all the community's activities or practices.

10. Content and permissions

You retain the rights you hold. Before sending or publishing content, make sure you have the rights necessary for the requested use: texts, photographs, music, recordings, transcriptions, images and voices.

The rights of authors, performers, producers, people depicted and minors must be respected, as must confidentiality obligations. Taking part in an event does not automatically authorise publication of a person's image or voice on the Internet.

A licence applicable to a worship service or on-site use does not necessarily cover online, on-demand distribution or distribution on another platform. You must be able to explain the permissions held when a serious doubt or justified report arises; requests for supporting evidence must remain limited to useful items.

11. Licence necessary for the service

By entrusting content to Uniteo, you authorise the operations necessary for the service requested: hosting, backup, technical conversion and transmission, as well as display and distribution for content intended for the public. This permission is non-exclusive, applies to the territories necessary for online distribution and for the period necessary for the authorised use, without an additional royalty for these operations alone.

This licence is not a general assignment. Transcriptions, translations, extracts and editorial adaptations must fall within the features requested or authorised; items intended for publication are subject to appropriate approval. External distribution or a separate promotional use requires the corresponding rights and permissions.

The licence does not authorise the sale of private content or its use to train general-purpose AI models. Following withdrawal or the end of permission, ordinary use must cease, subject to transitional technical operations and justified retention. Copies previously distributed in a public feed may remain outside Uniteo's direct control; reasonable measures within its role are taken where removal is necessary.

12. Browsing, listening and sharing

Making content available permits the stated uses: browsing, listening, downloading or sharing where a feature provides for it and within the stated limits. It does not allow you to appropriate content, remove attribution, republish it in full or commercially exploit it without the right to do so.

Statutory exceptions and specific licences remain applicable. The technical ability to download does not constitute general permission to redistribute.

13. Barnabé, assistance and human oversight

Barnabé uses AI to help search for, understand, organise and prepare content. It is restricted to people aged 18 and over. It is neither a person nor a minister of religion and does not represent God. It has no authority over your faith, your conscience or your community.

Its responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, outdated or unsuitable. Confident wording does not guarantee correctness. Check biblical quotations, translations, interpretations, references and information relevant to a decision. A summary or transcription may alter a nuance; it must not be attributed as an exact statement without verification.

Publications on behalf of a church or leader must be reviewed and approved by an authorised person, particularly as regards meaning, facts, rights and personal data. Suggestions are not spiritual decisions or permission to publish.

Barnabé does not replace personal pastoral support or appropriate medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. It must not be used to diagnose a person, decide on treatment or assess their spiritual worth. It is not an emergency service: in immediate danger, contact your country's emergency services or someone able to intervene.

Only send information and documents that you have the right to entrust to it. Use of notes, memory and location depends on the feature's permissions. Exchanges and technical data are described in the privacy policy.

It is prohibited to use Barnabé to commit an offence, threaten, impersonate someone, obtain private data without authorisation, circumvent safeguards or cause abnormal overload. Publishing or sending on behalf of a third party requires the necessary authority and approvals.

A generated result is not necessarily exclusive or protected by copyright. It may resemble existing content and require a review of rights before exploitation.

Features and models may change; technical limitations, maintenance or an incident may affect availability. The commitments of a paid offer remain defined by its contract. A security suspension must be proportionate.

The limits of AI and the duty to verify do not remove SafeSpace Media's own obligations concerning information, configuration, access, security and data. Using Infomaniak does not automatically transfer to the user the consequences of a failure by Uniteo. Article 20 remains applicable.

14. Gatherings and organisers

Organisers are responsible for the information and participation conditions they publish, for welcoming participants and for running the event. Check the date, location, accessibility, intended audience and any price.

Registration made within Uniteo must specify the data sent and the contact concerned. Uniteo is not automatically the organiser, seller or recipient of a payment; each party's capacity must be clear. This allocation does not remove its responsibility for its own services.

15. Free use and paid services

Public use is free within the stated scope. Your operator's connection charges remain your responsibility. Browsing, requesting information or a demonstration does not, by itself, create a paid subscription.

Before any commitment, a paid offer must specify the services and limits, price, currency, applicable taxes, duration, start date, billing, any trials, renewal, termination and arrangements for retrieving data. An option or renewal must not be concealed.

Commitments are those of the accepted contract. The mandatory rights of any consumer and applicable private international law rules remain reserved. No particular price, time limit or right of withdrawal is created by a general presentation that does not expressly provide for it.

16. Reports

Report an error, allegedly unlawful content or an infringement of your rights to info@uniteo.org or through the available tool. Give the exact location, reasons, useful information, a contact and the capacity in which you act if acting for a right holder.

Reports must be made in good faith. Theological disagreement does not permit knowingly describing lawful content as illegal. We diligently examine the request's specificity, the risk and applicable law, and may request further information.

Depending on the situation, Uniteo may contact the contributor, correct, temporarily restrict access, remove or forward an item to the competent authority where necessary or required. The reporting person's identity is not disclosed systematically; any disclosure must be necessary, proportionate and permissible.

17. Moderation and review

Measures are proportionate: warning, correction, removal, restriction of a feature or suspension depending on severity and context. Unless immediate action is necessary, the main reasons and opportunities for review are communicated. Information may be restricted to comply with the law, ensure security or protect a person.

You may request human review at info@uniteo.org within six months of notification, without prejudice to a more favourable statutory time limit. Specify the decision and grounds for contesting it. Review must not be limited to automatically reproducing the decision. Legally required avenues of appeal are preserved.

18. Suspension, closure and data

You may request account closure through the means offered or by contacting support. A serious reason, such as a compromise, impersonation, a risk to a person or a breach, may justify suspension.

Permanent closure must be proportionate. Where possible without excessive risk, a reasonable opportunity to remedy the situation is offered. An age error may be reported to support without voluntarily providing unnecessary sensitive documents.

The last person responsible for a church must arrange with support for continuity of access and the handling of the organisation's content. This situation does not remove their personal rights. Closure does not necessarily entail deletion of legally retained documents or publications that the organisation may retain. The privacy policy and contracts specify the processing of the categories concerned.

19. Maintenance and discontinuation of a service

Interruptions may result from maintenance, a fault, a security measure or an external circumstance. Uniteo must take reasonable measures falling within its obligations; agreed availability commitments remain applicable.

A planned interruption or closure with significant and foreseeable consequences is subject to appropriate information. For a service retaining content, reasonable retrieval arrangements are offered where possible and permissible. An external event does not automatically release a party from all obligations: its effects depend on the contract and the law.

20. Liability

Each party is liable for breaches and damage attributable to it under applicable law. Uniteo does not promise a spiritual result, an increase in the number of congregants, a particular attendance or audience, or the accuracy of every independent contribution.

The presence of a church, content or a link does not constitute a general guarantee of its activities. Uniteo remains bound by its own commitments and the measures incumbent on it when a problem is brought to its attention.

To the extent permitted by law and where the clause is valid for the relationship concerned, contractual liability for slight negligence is limited to typically foreseeable direct damage resulting from the breach. This limitation does not apply to wilful misconduct, gross negligence, harm to life or bodily integrity, or liabilities that cannot be excluded or limited. Mandatory data protection and consumer rights remain reserved.

Professional liabilities may be specified in a separate contract within legal limits. A user is not required automatically to indemnify Uniteo for every complaint: compensation depends, in particular, on the breach, its attribution, the damage and the causal link established under applicable law.

21. Changes to the terms

An actual change in the law, the service or its security may lead to a new version being proposed. Its date is stated. Important changes are announced and submitted for renewed acceptance where necessary.

A substantial change is, in principle, announced at least 30 days before it applies. An urgent adjustment required by law or necessary for security may take effect sooner, with appropriate information. Keeping an account does not amount to acceptance of every new financial commitment or data processing activity.

A change does not retrospectively reduce acquired or mandatory rights. Paid contracts and their specific amendment arrangements remain applicable.

22. Governing law and disputes

Swiss law applies, subject to mandatory law and private international law rules. A consumer retains the protections that they cannot waive.

You may contact info@uniteo.org to seek an amicable solution. This step does not constitute a waiver of the right to refer a matter to an authority or court, or a mandatory precondition where the law does not provide for one. The competent courts are determined by the applicable rules; no general jurisdiction at the association's registered office replaces mandatory jurisdictions.

If a provision is invalid, the others remain in force insofar as the contract can reasonably be maintained. The invalid provision is not automatically replaced by the solution most favourable to Uniteo.
